MYFF
MYFF is a film Organization from Kenya and around the world. It is registered as a Community Based in Mathare. It helps young upcoming filmmakers to showcase their creativity through media arts and Since 2011, MYFF has been part of a global revolution through film by making and screening films about the issues that affects our society of today. We have fully dedicated ourselves in transforming the livelihoods of the inhabitants of Mathare and its environs. Using films as a tool to reach out change, to educate and combat sustainable development goals also creating young professional filmmakers and role models.
Using photography, film and other creative media arts as a platform of change. Apart from the screenings, MYFF conducts workshops on photography, Film making, journalism, poetry, new media, Entrepreneurship, mentorship, online tutorial (Local language) and leadership skills to youths from the Nairobi slums and surroundings. A key idea in MYFF is to make, Shoot and screen educative films about issues commonly facing the slum areas around the globe. The diversity and similarities of the films will shed some light on what life is like being young and living in a slum or underdeveloped area. The vision is to paint a more updated and less bleak picture of the lives of young people coping, enjoying and living in the slums of the world.

The aim of the project is to create an online series of educational videos which will introduce to the audience the basics of video making and film making in Swahili (with additional English subtitles).

The aim of the project is to create awareness using educational civil society, development goals films by screening films in diverse region of Kenya by this which will be introduce by conducting workshop to youth of the community and make film together and screen the films in their community
Exchange Programs
MYFF has been in exchange program with Norway, South Africa and Germany and other local Organisations for more than 6 years to exchange ideas, make projects, participant and host long /shorter exchange programs
MYFF collaborates with PUG from Bremen on Youth exchange programs withing Kenya and Germany with aim to change, develop and connect youths through film.

The Mathare Youth Film Festival aims to empower young artists to express their creativity, entertain audiences, and share their visions for a more just and sustainable world. The festival is designed for community engagement, young upcoming filmmakers, youth culture, networking and showcase for the richness and diversity of a new generation of filmmakers.
